ELEANOR NADIMI
B. 1985 UNITED KINGDOM

Eleanor Nadimi is a London-based artist and textile designer. She holds an MA in Printed Textiles from the Royal College of Art and works from her studio in London.

Her work explores how colour, form, and architecture shape emotional experience. Working primarily through abstract painting, her practice has expanded to include mixed-media works that combine textiles, paint and straw marquetry, created both as integrated compositions and as standalone objets d’art. Drawing on mid-century modernism alongside her Iranian heritage, she references landscape, traditional architecture and geometric pattern to create works that feel both minimal and considered.

Her practice centres on the belief that art helps people find beauty in everyday life — particularly within domestic space. Through a reduced visual language of line, shape and considered colour, Nadimi examines how environments influence mood, memory and our relationship to place. Her work invites quiet attention, revealing harmony in the ordinary and the overlooked.

Alongside her art practice, she is the founder of One Nine Eight Five, a British homeware studio rooted in sustainability and UK manufacturing, where the focus on material, colour and everyday living runs parallel to her wider artistic practice.
